Import Users from Active Directory

The Active Directory Import Wizard helps you import a list of users from Active
directory to create application users. To import users from Active Directory,
follow these steps:


1. Open
System administration > Common > Users > Users.

2. Click
Import in the New group of the Action Pane.

3. Click
Next >.

4. Select
Search for AD users.

5. In the Domain name field select the domain to search.

6. Optionally enter additional search criteria into the
First name, Last name, and Display name fields. 

  

7. Click Next >. If no criteria is entered you will be prompted, clickYes to continue.

8. Select the
Import check box next to each user that you want to
import, and then click
Next >. For example, select MARIE and
TONY.

9. On the
Select Users page, verify the users you have selected to
import, and then click
Next >.

10. On the
Select Roles page, select a role from the Available rolespane and then click the arrow (<) button to move the roles to theSelected roles pane, and then click Next >.

11. On the
Select Profiles page, select the profile for the users imported
from Active Directory. The profile defines the Role Center. If you
are not sure which profile to assign, choose
No profile in all
companies
. You can later assign profiles from the Users or User
profiles
form.

12. Click
Next >, and then click Finish.
