The following topics describe the installation of the Microsoft Dynamics AX
web services on IIS.
NOTE: web services on IIS is an optional component. The Application AOS is
the WCF service host for Microsoft Dynamics AX services. The AOS-hosted
services are available to users and applications across the Intranet. To consume
services over the Internet, you must host services on IIS. Skip this procedure if
you do not need to expose the Microsoft Dynamics AX services over the Internet.
Before you install the web services on IIS
Verify the following steps are completed before you install the Microsoft
Dynamics AX web services on IIS:
• On the computer where you will install the web services, run the
prerequisite validation utility to verify you meet the system
requirements.
• Create a domain account that will be used as the Business Connector
proxy account.
• Make sure that you have the required permissions to install the web
services.
