Procedure Prepare Initialization

Use this procedure to complete the prepare initialization portion of the
Initialization checklist.


1. Compile the application


a. Click
Compile application.

b. Click
Yes, in the dialog warning that compiling the application can potentially take a long time.

NOTE: The application can be compiled using System Administration >Periodic > Compile Application.

2. Generate CIL

a. Click
Compile into .NET Framework CIL.

b. Click
Yes, in the dialog warning that generating CIL can potentially take a long time.

NOTE: CIL can be generated using System Administration > Periodic >Compile into .NET Framework CIL.

3. Provide license information (optional)

a. Click
Provide license information, then load the customers license file.

NOTE: No license files are provided for this procedure.

b. Click Close.

NOTE: License information can be updated in System Administration > Setup >Licensing > License information.

NOTE: This topic is covered in the Administration chapter.

4. Configure application functionality (optional)

a. Click
Configure application functionality, then select the
modules the customer would like to use.

b. Click
OK.

NOTE: The application can be configured using System Administration >Setup > Licensing > License configuration.

5. Customer feedback options (optional)

a. Click
Customer feedback options, then select the feedback
option the customer would like to use.

b. Click
OK.

NOTE: Select the customer feedback options can be set using System Administration > Setup > System > Customer feedback options

6. Modify data types (optional)

a. Click
Modify data types, then modify the data type properties the customer would like modified.

b. Click
OK.

NOTE: Data types can be modified using System Administration > Setup > System > Modify data types.
