Install a Test Environment

To install a minimum test environment, follow these steps:

1. Open the install directory (D:\) and double-click
setup.exe.

2. Click
Microsoft Dynamics AX components.

3. Click
Next.

4. Select
Add or modify components, then click Next.

5. Select Databases, and Application Object Server (AOS) in addition to the components already selected, then click Next.

6. Wait until Prerequisite Validation has run, then click
Next.

7. Select
Create new databases, then click Next.

8. In
Server name, type "SEA-DEV".

9. In
Database name, type "MSDynamicsAXTest".

10. In
Baseline database name, type "MSDynamicsAXTestBaseline",then click Next.

11. Wait while setup determines which models are available.

12. Make sure that the all models are selected, then click
Next.

13. In
Instance Name, type "MSDynamicsAXTest".

14. In
TCP/IP port, type "2713".

15. In
Services WSDL port, type "8102".

16. In
Services endpoint port, type "8202".

17. Click
Next.

18. Select
Use the following account.

19. In
Domain\user name, type "CONTOSO\AX_AOS_Service".

20. In
Password, type "Pa$$w0rd", then click Next.

21. Wait while Prerequisite validation runs, then click
Next.

NOTE: This part of the installation will take about 15 minutes.

22. Click Install.

23. Select
Open the log file when Setup closes, and Open summary report when setup closes.

24. Click
Finish, then review the log file, and Summary report.
