permissions as an Employee, Manager and as a Sales Manager. He would also
like to limit Kevin's access as a manager and sales manager to companies under
the main sales group in the "organizational" organization hierarchy. Kevin has
already been added as a user in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and in Active
Directory.
Procedure: Assign Roles to Users
To assign Kevin to the roles of Employee and Manager, follow these steps:
1. Open System administration > Common > Users > Users.
2. Select the record for "Kevin Cook."
3. On the top of the Users list page, click Edit.
4. In the middle of the User form, click Assign roles.
5. Select the records for "Employee" and "Manager".
6. Click OK.
7. On the User form, click Close.
8. In the Roles for selected user FactBox, note "Employee" and "Manager" are added as a role.
NOTE: This procedure cannot be completed unless Procedure: Add a User has
been completed.
